Last updated 19 September 2026 · Privacy Policy
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Avokado Labs
("we", "us"), the developer of the LensAlert app ("LensAlert", "the app"). By downloading or using
LensAlert you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
1. What LensAlert is
LensAlert is an awareness tool. It listens for Bluetooth Low Energy advertisements broadcast
publicly by nearby devices and tells you when a signal matches a known smart-glasses signature.
2. What LensAlert is not
Please read this section before subscribing.
- It cannot tell you whether anyone is recording. Recording is not broadcast
over Bluetooth.
- It does not identify people and does not tell you who is wearing
anything.
- It does not show direction. Distance is a rough estimate from signal
strength, which bodies, walls and pockets change dramatically.
- Detection is best-effort and opportunistic. Smart glasses broadcast mainly
at power-on, during pairing and when taken out of the case. A pair that is already connected and
sitting quietly may broadcast nothing at all, and LensAlert will not see it.
- It is not a security product, not a hidden-camera detector, and must not be
relied on where safety depends on the result.
3. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use LensAlert on
any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple
Media Services Terms and Conditions. You may not copy, redistribute, sell, rent, reverse-engineer
or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except to the extent that applicable law
expressly permits it. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use LensAlert lawfully and not to use it to harass, stalk, intimidate or surveil
anyone. Radio observation laws differ by country; complying with the law where you are is your
responsibility.
5. Subscription
The free tier scans without limits or time restrictions. LensAlert Pro is an auto-renewing
subscription that unlocks alerts while the app is closed, the Live Activity, the widget and Control
Center summary, the sightings history and device labels.
- LensAlert Pro is offered as a weekly and a yearly
subscription. Prices are shown inside the app in your local currency before you confirm. Payment
is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless auto-renew is turned
off at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24
hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel the subscription in Settings → your name → Subscriptions
on your device. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under their policy; we cannot issue them ourselves.
- If we change the price or what Pro includes, the change applies from the next renewal and you
will be told before it takes effect, as Apple requires.
6. No warranty
LensAlert is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express
or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or
non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will detect any particular device, or detect anything
at all in a given place or moment, or that it will run uninterrupted or error-free. Some
jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so parts of this section may not
apply to you.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or
consequential loss arising from the use of, or inability to use, LensAlert, or from reliance on
anything it reports. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for
the app in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
8. Apple's role
These Terms are between you and Avokado Labs only. Apple is not a party to them
and is not responsible for LensAlert or its content. In addition:
- Maintenance and support. We are solely responsible for support for LensAlert.
Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for it.
- Warranty. We are solely responsible for any warranties, express or implied,
that are not effectively disclaimed above. If LensAlert fails to conform to an applicable
warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app to you; to the
maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect
to LensAlert.
- Product claims. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claim
relating to LensAlert, including product liability claims, any claim that the app fails to conform
to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection or privacy
law.
- Intellectual property. If a third party claims that LensAlert infringes their
intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the investigation,
defence, settlement and discharge of that claim.
- Legal compliance. You represent that you are not located in a country subject
to a U.S. Government embargo, or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are
not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Third-party terms. You must comply with any applicable third-party terms of
agreement when using LensAlert.
- Third-party beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party
beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right to enforce them
against you.
9. Privacy
LensAlert collects no personal data. What the app stores, and the little that ever leaves your
device, is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these
Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to its conflict
of law rules. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory
consumer law in your country of residence.
11. Changes
These Terms may be updated; the current version is always at this address. Continuing to use
LensAlert after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
